Revenue dept yielding good results with best practices: Dharmana Prasad

Minister for Revenue, Stamps & Registration, Dharmana Prasad Rao said that the people in Andhra Pradesh are witnessing transparent governance under the leadership of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. The reforms taken up by the revenue department are yielding good results, the long pending disputes of 22-A, Dotted lands for 70 years are also being resolved.

The Minister issues Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku Bhu Raksha scheme, and under it, house pattas, 22 A cases, dotted lands, benamis, ROR, ROFR, pattas, Nala encroachment lands, e-crop, and others shall be discussed and effective services should be provided to the public. Development of the state or the country depends on the usage of land and the revenue department should provide land to the government as part of its duties, he said.

Resurvey of land is a dynamic decision taken by the government and the issues faced by the land owners for a long time will be resolved, said the minister who added that the decisions taken by the district collectors, joint collectors, and revenue department officials are appreciable.

He said that the government has issued house site pattas to 32 lakh poor and downtrodden people across the state by spending Rs 12,000 crores and procuring the lands by the concerned officials is commendable.

The Minister appointed a separate committee to study the assigned lands, the committee will study the issues and submit a detailed report. He said that henceforth the village/ward secretariat will be transformed into a registration office. He said that the department was adopting advanced practices with advanced equipment which is yielding good results.

Earlier governments were confined to statements on decentralization of governance but under the leadership of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought the village/ward secretariat system and made it a reality.

CCLA Special Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad, Revenue Chief Secretary Rajat Bhargava, CCLA additional secretary AMD Imtiaz and others were present.
