The ‘Grama Revenue Sadassulu’ will begin in the West Godavari district on August 15 formally and conclude on September 30 in which petitions pertaining to land disputes will be received by the officials.
District Collector C Nagarani here on Sunday said that during the 45-day-long ‘Revenue Sadassulu’, petitions from people related to land disputes. She said that an action plan was also evolved to resolve the grievances from October 1. “The Government will appoint a senior IAS special officer for each district to conduct and supervise the ‘Revenue Sadassulu,” she said
She said that ‘Revenue Sadassulu’ would be held throughout the day in large revenue villages and one day in small revenue villages. The officials would receive petitions from people in five categories and register them in 5 registers. Mutation, tenant farmer cards (LEC), land disputes, land encroachment, Prohibited List 22(A) petitions would also be received from people during the ‘Revenue Sadassulu’.
The Collector stated that a receipt will be given to the people after receiving a petition from them, adding that to find a solution to all these, revenue meetings are being organized in every village as per the orders of the government.
The Collector said that Tehsildar, Revenue Inspector, Village Revenue Officer, Mandal Surveyor, endowment, representatives of Waqf Departments, Registration Department Officer, and Forest Department Officer will participate in the revenue conference and receive petitions from people.
Collector Nagarani said that every application will be made online and if necessary, we will visit the field and investigate each problem and inform the complainants about the action taken. He said that the revenue conferences will start at 9 am every day and the schedule will be announced in advance as to when the conferences will be held in which village.
Security would be provided with the police till the programme is completed as ‘Revenue Sadassulu’ is being held on sensitive land issues, she observed, adding that that the officials concerned have been directed to conduct a large-scale campaign through the local media, pamphlets and posters on the revenue conferences from village to village. The District Joint Collector will act as the nodal officer for the management of the village ‘Revenue Sadassulu’, the Collector said.
