Special Chief Secretary for Revenue, RP Sisodia, announced that ‘Revenue Sadassulu’ will continue until all revenue-related issues across the State are fully resolved. Speaking at the Kaikaluru constituency-level ‘Revenue Sadassulu’ event in Pedapalaparru village, Eluru district, Sisodia highlighted that in certain areas, land had been incorrectly recorded under Section 22A, and the government would take steps to address these errors.
Sisodia also revealed that 1.35 lakh applications have been received so far through Revenue Sadassulu from across the state. During the event, he reiterated that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy recognised the challenges faced by the public in revenue-related matters and had directed that these summits provide comprehensive solutions.
The Special Chief Secretary clarified that legal issues would not be addressed at the revenue summits. He pointed out that certain errors had occurred in some villages due to faulty surveys, and a clear action plan was in place to rectify these mistakes. He advised the public to always obtain receipts when submitting applications at the summits and assured them that no fees would be charged for the process.
Kaikaluru MLA Kamineni Srinivas urged the public to take full advantage of the Revenue Sadassulu, which are designed to provide permanent solutions to revenue problems. He also called for a permanent resolution to issues related to Vyavak lands in the constituency, where people who have paid taxes for years have not been recognised as landowners. He stressed the need to address ongoing protests concerning Kolleru lands.
Several villagers raised concerns with Sisodia, pointing out conflicts arising from joint Land Possession Acknowledgments (LPAs) issued during the previous government’s re-survey, which had led to disputes among landowners. They also highlighted issues stemming from the merging of village lands with common lands, causing problems for landowners.
Eluru Joint Collector Dhathri Reddy, Eluru RDO Ambareesh, Mudinepalli Tahsildar Subani, MDO Y. Ramakrishna, Eluru DIO TVVS Ramana, Mandal Surveyor Rajasekhar Reddy, former Chairman of Gudivada Market Yard Ch. Sobhanadri Chowdary, and others were present at the event.
