Minister for Irrigation Ambati Rambabu has claimed that revolutionary changes are being brought in the revenue department and the land resurvey will resolve the land disputes.

The minister on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed Tahsildar and Skill Development office building in Sattenapalli. The building was constructed at a cost of Rs 1.20 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ambati Rambabu said that a compound wall would be constructed around the offices. Similarly, the treasury building would also be rebuilt, he said. As far as possible, the officials should take the initiative so that revenue-related matters do not reach the political leaders and the problems are resolved in the mandal office.

The minister said that the government has undertaken a programme of re-survey of lands for the welfare of the farmers, thereby preventing conflicts at the embankments and providing proper polar right documents.

Moreover, the minister stated that assignment lands have been given permanent settlement and rights to sell them if necessary, adding that the process of re-survey was very laborious but with the decision taken by the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, even the dotted lands were resolved.

Referring to the removal of plague unveiled by the erstwhile TDP leaders, he said that the plaque was removed due to carrying out various development works at the place. The plaque was reinstalled after completion of the works, he added.

Collector L Shiva Shankar, former MLA Yarram Venkateswara Reddy and Guntur Mirchi Yard chairman Nimmakayala Rajanarayana also spoke.
