Underscoring the significance of the passport, Singh said it symbolises the hopes and aspirations of every Indian citizen.
He added that the government is modernising all RPOs with state-of-the-art technology to ensure timely and efficient passport services.
He remarked that passport offices have become emblematic of India’s growing economy, offering increasing opportunities for skilled professionals. Singh also highlighted India’s successful handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly its vaccine development and international distribution efforts, which have enhanced global confidence in India’s capabilities.
Praising India’s strengths in soft skills and innovation, the Minister noted that the country is now shaping global conversations. Addressing media queries, he assured that India’s economic foundation remains robust and will not be adversely affected by external policy changes. Concerns over tariff rates, he added, would be addressed soon, urging citizens to remain patient and confident in the nation’s developmental direction.
The Minister also expressed gratitude to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for allotting land in Amaravati for the construction of a new passport office.
