Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan has expressed his strong desire to see the combined East Godavari and West Godavari districts free from the clutches of the YSRCP. To further this objective, the ‘Varahi Vijaya Yatra’ was launched here.
Speaking to party activists at P Gannavaram on Saturday, Pawan Kalyan referred to both Godavari districts as Annapurna and emphasised the need to liberate them from the grip of the YSRCP.
“The verdict delivered by the voters of East and West Godavari districts will shape the fate of the State. The people of Razole have voted for change. Now, JSP has set its sights on the 34 constituencies in both districts. We are determined to win the P Gannavaram seat in the upcoming elections,” asserted Pawan Kalyan.
He went on to highlight a past incident, saying, “In the 2019 elections, the people of Razole elected a Jana Sena candidate. However, the MLA later abandoned the party for personal gain. I want to make it clear that the MLA is not a child to be appeased. True adherence to Ambedkarism means facing any challenge with courage. Ambedkarism does not advocate party defection or changing loyalties. Despite the JSP MLA aligning with the YSRCP, the people of Razole have shown great admiration for me today.” Pawan Kalyan emphasised the importance of fighting battles where one has strength, pointing out that the Godavari districts are strongholds of the JSP, commanding an 18 percent vote share. Thus, the JSP will commence its political battle from these districts.
He also announced that the JSP has recently inaugurated its office in Rajahmundry and would soon establish offices in Pithapuram and Amalapuram. “I am aware of my strengths and weaknesses. If I were to go out, it would require about 400 staff members to accompany me, which is expensive. Unlike the YSRCP, I will not instruct JSP leaders to spend Rs 25 lakh in each constituency,” he asserted.
In a related development, Pawan Kalyan’s public meeting scheduled for 4 pm on Saturday in Malikipuram was cancelled due to inclement weather. A JSP release confirmed that the public meeting will be held on Sunday instead.
