Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao reached New Delhi on Monday to inaugurate the office of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on December 14. This is his first visit to the capital after the Election Commission approved changing the name of the TRS as BRS.
Clad in a blue suit, the Chief Minister was welcomed by BRS workers at the New Delhi airport. Around 1,500 BRS leaders will attend the inaugural ceremony. During his visit to New Delhi, KCR is likely to address a press conference.

KCR would organise a ‘yagam’ (special ritualistic worship) after inaugurating the BRS office in Sardar Patel Marg in New Delhi.

Chief Minister KCR to start his parties political journey with Ganapathi puja on Tuesday. A special Yagasala has been set up for the Rajashyamala Yagam. The yagam will start on Tuesday at 9 am with Ganapati Puja. Pujas and yagas will be performed under the guidance of 12 scholars. On Wednesday Nava Chandi Homa, special puja will be performed by Sringeri Peetham Gopikrishna Sharma and Phani Sashanka Sharma.

The Nava Chandiyagam will be started on Wednesday at 9 am while on Thursday at 12.37 pm purnahuthi will be done. State Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy and Rajya Sabha Member J. Santosh Kumar inspected arrangements for the party office inauguration and the ‘yagam’ on Sunday, BRS sources said.

Sources said that KCR may not conduct the event with pomp. Noted Vastu expert Suddala Sudhakar Teja was also present on the occasion.

KCR laid the foundation stone for the TRS office in New Delhi in September 2021 on land allotted by the Centre in Vasant Vihar. During his earlier visits to New Delhi this year, KCR had met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

With the EC approving the change in the name of TRS to Bharat Rashtra Samiti, KCR on December 9 formally hoisted the pink flag of the BRS and declared that the “pink flag would fly high on the Red Fort one day.”

Addressing party leaders after unveiling the BRS flag at the party headquarters here, he coined the slogan of ‘Ab ki baar kisan sarkar’ (farmers’ government this time) and said that new economic, environment, water, electricity and women empowerment policies are needed in the country.
