Rs 1.9L cr investments set to flow into Andhra

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed officials to ensure that all necessary approvals, including land allocation, are granted promptly to industries investing in Andhra Pradesh on a large scale.
Presiding over the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting at the State Secretariat, the Chief Minister instructed officials to expedite the provision of basic amenities for such projects to facilitate their timely completion. He emphasised leveraging incentives and subsidies to attract additional investments.
During the meeting, officials informed the Chief Minister that nine projects with a total investment of Rs 1,82,162 crore are currently underway, expected to create employment for 2,63,411 people. Among these, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is establishing a major refinery at Ramayapatnam in Nellore district. Spread over 6,000 acres, the project involves an investment of Rs 96,862 crore and will generate 2,400 jobs. BPCL also plans to develop a township with facilities including a learning centre, refinery, petrochemical unit, and administrative block. The project is expected to contribute Rs 88,747 crore to the State’s revenue over the next 20 years, with completion targeted before 2029.
In Visakhapatnam, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is investing Rs 80 crore to create 2,000 jobs. Azad India Mobility Limited will set up a green project for manufacturing electric buses, three-wheelers, and battery packs in Gudipalli, Satya Sai district, with an investment of Rs 2,381 crore, generating 2,381 jobs over six years.
Balaji Action Buildwell Pvt Ltd is setting up a facility in Rambilli, Anakapalli district, with an investment of Rs 1,174 crore on 106 acres, providing 1,500 jobs. Several investors are also keen on the State’s clean energy policy, which is expected to generate over two lakh jobs in the sector.
Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited is launching a solar project in Hosur, Kurnool district, to produce 400 megawatts of power, requiring an investment of Rs 2,000 crore and creating 1,380 jobs. Additional power projects are being developed in YSR district, while Reliance Industries Limited plans to invest Rs 65,000 crore, creating over two lakh jobs.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of projects cleared during the SIPB meeting on November 19, urging officials to maintain momentum in their execution.
