Rs 2,000 note cancelled to keep people in poverty: Jagadish

Must read

The Centre cancelled the Rs 2,000 currency note to harm the country financially, Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy said.

“The demonetisation of Rs 2,000 notes by Modi is a regressive move which will not contribute to the development of the country. People still do not know why high-value notes were cancelled in 2016 and how much black money was recovered. With the demonetisation of Rs 2,000 currency notes, poverty is likely to increase in the country,” he said while speaking to the media in Suryapet on Saturday.

He said that Prime Minister Modi is not running the administration for the people but for a few people. He said that Rs 2,000 currency notes were cancelled as part of feudal ideas to keep people in perpetual poverty.

“If there is any gain in withdrawing high-value currency notes, why is it not publicised? Why is the Union Finance Minister who lashed out at the absence of the Prime Minister’s photo in a ration shop not responding to the demonetisation?” he said.

He demanded to know the BJP’s secret agenda behind demonetisation, why they introduced the useless Rs 2,000 currency note and why they are cancelling it now.

He said that the cancellation of the Rs 2,000 notes is part of the secret agenda of some investors.

Jagdish said the manner in which Telangana’s hopes have been fulfilled will attract people elsewhere and that is why the BRS is gaining ground in Maharashtra. He said the rise of the pink party has started in Maharashtra and it will continue to Delhi.

He said the BRS will strengthen itself throughout the country before the Parliament elections and that it will become the main party in the country. He said that the BRS did not contest in Karnataka and that is why the Congress won.
