As many as 182 junior lawyers received the third tranche of the YSR Law Nestham in NTR district on Monday. The lawyers got financial assistance of a total of Rs. 44.60 lakh under the scheme.
The district-level Law Nestham programme was held at the collectorate in Vijayawada. NTR District Collector Dr S Dilli Rao, Andhra Pradesh Planning Commission Vice-Chairman and Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu, Vijayawada West MLA V Srinivasa Rao and the chairpersons of various corporations participated in the programme. Junior advocate Veerla Aravind spoke to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that the financial assistance would help the lawyers settle in their profession. He said that out of 182 junior lawyers, 42 belonged to the SC community and 13 were STs. The rest of the beneficiaries belonged to various communities. He said that while attending to and delivering the duties, junior lawyers were facing financial problems. This assistance would help the lawyers buy books, clothes and other things that they need.
VMC Deputy Mayor Sri Sailaja, Kapu Corporation Chairman Adapa Seshagiri, Viswabrahmin Corporation Chairman Tholeti Srikanth, Manoj Kotari, Jamala Purnamma, Vijitha, BBA president K Sundar and others were present.
