10,031 apply for 5,000 licensed surveyors’ posts
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the Indira Gandhi Government, headed by Chief Minister Revanth, is working with determination to provide a permanent solution to land disputes by creating accurate land records.
The Bhu Bharati Act has made it mandatory to attach a land survey map for the registration process, and the need for a large number of surveyors has been identified to implement this policy as soon as possible.
For this, applications were invited for the recruitment of 5,000 licensed surveyors by May 17, and 10,031 people applied, he said. The Minister reviewed the recruitment of licensed surveyors on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he directed the officials to immediately complete all arrangements regarding the training of licensed surveyors. He said that training will be given for two months at the Survey Training Academy (TALIM) in Gachibowli from May 26.
Digitisation of Village Maps
He said the digitalisation of survey records (maps) will be carried out through TGRAC (Telangana Remote Sensing Applications Centre).
He said this process will be started in three villages on a pilot basis – Lingala village in the Lingala mandal of Nagarkurnool district, Takkalapalli in the Mallial mandal of Jagtial district, and Peddakorukondi in the Kallur mandal of Khammam district.
He said that digital maps can be easily accessed from anywhere, and accurate information can be obtained faster and at a lower cost than manual methods.
He said that through digital mapping, details like the size and shape of land areas can be obtained accurately.
He said that transparency in government services will increase and the mutation process will be accelerated. He explained that restoration and security can be stored securely in digital form and can be updated from time to time.
