Rythu Bandhu funds for the Kharif crop will be released from June 26. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao directed Finance Minister Harish Rao and Additional Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to deposit Rythu Bandhu funds directly into the bank accounts of farmers.

The CM directed the Irrigation Department to take early steps to supply irrigation water without disrupting cultivation in the context of the delay in monsoon arrival.

He made it clear that it does not matter how much it costs. The Chief Minister ordered officials to save crops even if money is lost in the process.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao held a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat with ministers, public representatives and officials of the Irrigation Department to provide irrigation to farmers in the backdrop of delayed monsoons.

KCR reviewed the progress of the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy scheme and the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project.

After the completion of the land distribution programme on June 24, the CM ordered officials to ensure that farmers who got land titles get Rythu Bandhu funds. The Chief Minister suggested that as the IMD had forecasted that rains will come in the first week of July there will be no shortage of drinking water. The CM ordered irrigation authorities to take a break for a few days from releasing water for irrigation during rainy days. The CM inquired about the current water level in the reservoirs and the requirements of Mission Bhagiratha. The CM ordered officials to immediately pump two TMCs of water from the Mid Manair reservoir to Ranganayak Sagar as engineers said that at present there is only 0.69 TMC of water in the Ranganayak Sagar reservoir.
