Sacrifices replaced by development, says KCR

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that the Telangana state ended the sacrifices for Telangana, which had continued for decades, with the attainment of self-rule.

The Godavari valley and other areas which were declared as disturbed zones by the rulers of united Andhra Pradesh are now thriving with Kaleshwaram Project’s waters and green fields, KCR said and added that the sacrifices of the past have been replaced by the new pillars of development.

The Chief Minister remembered the martyrs’ sacrifices on the occasion of the death anniversary of Doddi Komuraiya on Tuesday (July 4), the first Telangana martyr in the armed peasant struggle.

The CM said that the government gave an assurance on the future to the people in just nine years by fulfilling the hopes of the martyrs and achieving the goals of the Telangana movement. The Chief Minister said that the government went by the spirit of the martyrs in rebuilding Telangana and had revived all sectors and now Telangana is a role model for the country.

KCR said that Telangana is confident of developing all sectors like agriculture, irrigation, drinking water, electricity, roads, education and medicare.

The Chief Minister said that the Telangana government, which considered the fulfilment of the hopes of the martyrs as its responsibility, is achieving results fast.

KCR said that the government inaugurated the Martyrs’ Memorial, lit the ‘Telangana Amara Jyothi’ during the decennial celebrations of the state’s Formation Day and paid the highest respects to the Telangana Martyrs.

This memorial will help future generations to remember the martyrs’ sacrifices. The Martyrs’ Memorial gives us eternal inspiration, KCR said and added that the government is organising the birth and death anniversary of Doddi Komuraiya to honour his sacrifice.
