Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar on Saturday announced plans to set up a ‘Sadaram’ camp in the region, aimed at easing the problems being faced by disabled individuals who currently need to travel long distances for examinations. The announcement came during an advisory committee meeting held at the local government hospital, where Shankar was joined by Municipal Chairman Narender, doctors, and other healthcare staff.
During the meeting, Veerlapalli Shankar highlighted the challenges faced by people with disabilities who are often required to visit examination centres in areas like Manikonda and Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad. He emphasised the hardships and financial burdens that such travel would impose on already vulnerable individuals. The MLA stated that the establishment of a ‘Sadaram’ camp in Shadnagar would significantly alleviate these difficulties by providing necessary services. He expressed his commitment to ensuring that disabled individuals no longer have to endure such distressing conditions for their medical evaluations.
Addressing the hospital staff, Veerlapalli Shankar urged them to prioritise the care of poor and vulnerable patients who visit the Shadnagar Community Hospital.
