Samantha reveals the “toughest part” of shooting for Shaakuntalam

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is all set for her upcoming release, Shaakuntalam. The film that also stars Dev Mohan, will release on January 9 at 12 pm. As fans eagerly wait for the trailer, Samantha has now posted about what the most difficult part about shooting the film was. And no, it does not have anything to do with her Myositis diagnosis.

Samantha took to her Instagram to reveal what the toughest part about shooting her upcoming film, Shaakuntalam, was. The actress first shared a glimpse of her pet doggo, Sasha, lying lazily on the sofa. What was funny was how she was sleeping. Along with it was a picture of the actress herself, posing with the utmost grace and flaunting her washboard abs. Captioning the post, she wrote, “The toughest part of #Shakuntalam was maintaining grace and posture while walking, talking, running even crying! And grace is sooo not my thing. Had to take training sessions for it! Should have taken Sasha along…clearly so not her thing either! #LikeMotherLikeDaughter (sic)”

Shaakuntalam is a mythological drama, written and directed by Gunasekhar. The film is based on Kalidasa’s play, Shakuntala.

While Samantha essays the role of Shakuntala, Dev Mohan will be seen as King Dushyanta. Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla will be seen in supporting roles.

Shaakuntalam will open in theatres in multiple languages on February 17.
