There’s no shortage of beautiful island hotels around the world and actress Sandeepa Dhar was recently on a glitzy private island getaway. At the beginning of her low-key vacation, she says, “Dublin was the centre of attraction for me and then I moved to Donegal where was staying at a glamping hotel. Most of the people were speaking Irish there, instrumental music was going on and you can trace their ancestors, it’s a place like that.”

London has something special for Dr. Arora fame. Let’s hear to what she has to say, “Whenever I am slightly stressful I visit London. That’s the one place I can go back to in any circumstances. The architectural designs of the country excites me, I go see them once in a year definitely. The last time I went to the kingdom, I was adamant on exploding the countryside of it and let me tell you there is nothing ever gorgeous than that I saw. Picturesque seaside towns, natural beauty and tiny villages had my heart. The United Kingdom is so humongous, you’ll need gazillion trips to cover the country (she laughed). Moreover, I have shot so much in London that have understood you look the best of your version on camera when shooting in London.”

Sandeepa who was also seen in Heropanti too, had startling travelling experiences. She shared, “I do a lot of road trips and see me gallavanting on my own at odd hours of night. I was in Portugal, thought of exploring a beach town and what just happens. I was with my girl gang but we had no way of commuting back because the city’s transportation timings are restricted.

We hitch-hiked! The owner of a departmental store dropped us to the train station in midnight and I was so alarmed that I continued to speak to him non-stop just to keep him busy and not give any random thoughts. After all, he was a stranger to us. One of my girls even had the Google Maps on silently! Because we have poly-transport back in our country, I forgot how the other countries function ( she laughed again) I don’t wish to be stranded in a quite town ever again!”

For the Kashmiri Pandit, travel is an art closely related to the art of self-indulgence, she says, “It slows down time, I don’t have to chase my film schedules. I develop my own prescription of a happier me when travelling. Gorging on to various cuisines keeps me so hooked as a foodie. I get to see ruins, know about their history that’s enriching for me. It’s a test of your flexibility! I just want to run away to the countryside always.”

Wanting to see the aurora borealis from such a long time, Sandeepa is eager to tick of the beautiful dancing waves of light from her bucket list.

“It’s the spectacular display of night sky and I want to be captivated by it too. I am waiting for winters, it’s going to be a breathtaking sight. If I get to head towards Norway anytime soon, it’s going to be a transformational bucket-list experience for me. I wish to go there on my birthday truly, I have been waiting for years.”
