Sanjay warns leaders who joined BJP recently

Must read

Terming the BJP as a disciplined party, Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay indirectly warned leaders who joined the BJP recently and have been issuing statements against the party. He said the party will suspend leaders who go against its line.

Sanjay made it clear that the party will act tough towards leaders who violate discipline.

Addressing the BJP State Executive Committee on Monday in Hyderabad, Sanjay said that leaders have to stay among the people if they want tickets. The party will give first priority to the leaders’ work at the field level. The party will give tickets only to leaders who are in touch with people, he said.

Reiterating that the party will take disciplinary action if anyone engages in anti-party activities, Sanjay said that leaders, who are involved only in outward shows will not get tickets.

Telangana BJP General Secretary Sunil Bansal said that the high command has information about all leaders and what they are doing.

“Party leaders have to work for the party and not for self-image. Tickets will be given to leaders who stay with the people in the next 30 days,” he said.

Bansal said that leaders have to display party symbols instead of their own photos. He warned that the party will take disciplinary action against leaders who break discipline.

Party leader Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy said that they (leaders who joined BJP from other parties) have told the party to deal strictly with corrupt elements.

In a chit-chat with journalists after the BJP State Executive Committee meeting, Rajgopal said they had also told the party that they are ready to provide evidence about corruption.

He said that two to three people of the KCR family will go to jail and that they joined BJP with a goal and will not quit it what may come.

Rajgopal said the party will gain strength if opportunities are given to new leaders. “My opinion is that the BJP leadership has to make use of strong leaders,” he said.

Describing TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy as a ‘new beggar,’ Rajgopal said it is not easy for Revanth to get a chance to join the BJP as the BJP will not admit him.

“One has to think if Revanth comes to join the BJP. There is a need to examine the police cases against him. The BJP inducts only leaders who have a clean image. Revanth is a recent entrant in the Congress and it is ridiculous on his part to invite people like us to join the Congress,” he said.
