SCR GM inspects railway stations

Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook inspection of Gudur – Nellore – Vijayawada Section of Vijayawada Division today i.e., 20th November, 2024.
He was accompanied by Shri Narendra Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and other senior officials throughout the inspection.
The General Manager commenced the inspection at Gudur Railway Station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities and facilities available at the station. He also inspected the Station Master’s office and circulating area.
The General Manager inaugurated a new RPF (Railway Protection Force) post at the Railway station. He also planted saplings at the station towards promotion of green environment. Further, the General Manager carried out a rear window inspection from Gudur – Vijayawada section wherein he examined the safety aspects of signalling and tracks.
 Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed inspection of Nellore Railway station. He inspected the Station Master’s office, circulating area and reviewed the passenger amenities available at the station.
The General Manager also inspected the on-going major upgradation works at Nellore Railway station. The Divisional officials presented a detailed report on the progress of the redevelopment work. The General Manager advised the division to expedite the works so as to complete the project by the targeted date.
Later, the General Manager inspected Chirala Railway station and reviewed the passenger amenities. He also inaugurated a new RPF post at the station and planted saplings. The General Manager also interacted with the media personnel and briefed them on the development plans being undertaken by SCR.
