Developments in the BJP are fuelling the flames of bitterness. Many party seniors are unable to digest the removal of Sanjay from the president’s post. Many strongly oppose the decision taken by the high command. Seniors are asking the high command to explain why the president was changed in a hurry.
It is learnt that former MPs G. Vivek, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and others are deeply hurt by the action of the BJP leadership. It is learnt that Komatireddy Rajgopal may quit any moment. However, Vivek, who is close to Kishan Reddy, may weigh the pros and cons and take a decision later.
Vijayashanti is not happy with the appointment of Eatala Rajender as the Chairman of the Telangana Election Management Committee. She said that Eatala is not the only activist and that they too are activists.
Vijayashanthi tweeted, “Although removing Sanjay, who taught the party in the state to walk on fire is painful, I believe that the party will give a better post to Sanjay and I believe that the top leadership of the BJP will recognise the sentiments of our workers who work for the country and dharma…Jai Sriram..Hara Hara Mahadeva…Jai Telangana. Meanwhile, BJP leader Komatireddy Rajagopal met Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who joined the Congress in the presence of Rahul Gandhi at the Khammam Sabha recently.
Rajagopal consulted Ponguleti about joining the Congress. TPCC chief Revanth Reddy has already invited Rajagopal to the Congress. It is learnt that Rajagopal, who is deeply dissatisfied with the developments in the BJP may join the Congress.
Rajgopal is not happy with Eatala Rajender after meeting Union Home Minister Ami Shah. It is learnt that Rajgopal spoke about the party and its present situation. Rajgopal is not happy with Eatala as Eatala speaks only about himself instead of the party.
BJP leaders also expressed their unhappiness over leaders like M. Raghunandan Rao criticising Sanjay in New Delhi on Monday.
BJP SC Morcha Secretary S. Kumar, who worked under six presidents in the last 20 years, said that an attack was launched against Sanjay unlike any other president.
Insulting Sanjay is painful. He said that Sanjay was in the TS president’s post due to BJP president JP Nadda as Nadda had asked Sanjay to continue although his tenure ended last March.
BJP state secretary Kasam Venkateshwarlu warned Sanjay and other party critics like M. Raghunandan Rao that the BJP had expelled leaders like Jaswanth Singh, Uma Bharati, Kalyan Singh and others aside for crossing the party line. He said the BJP will not tolerate criticism for the sake of selfish objectives.
BJP state Vice-President Gujjula Premender Reddy warned that the party will respond to criticism by leaders against any activist.
BJP National Executive Committee Member N. Ramchandrarao said that the BRS and the Congress are conspiring to prevent the BJP’s growth in Telangana.
