As many as seven Swamy Ayyappa devotees were injured when the private bus in which they were going hill shrine Shabarimale in Kerala rammed a sand laden lorry at Chillakuru at Varagali cross road on the national highway in the wee hours on Saturday.
Police said that as many as 35 devotees, who embraced Ayyappa Swamy deeksha, were going to Sabarimala in a private bus. The bus rammed a sand laden lorry in which seven devotees were injured. The driver of the bus also suffered serious injuries in the accident.
The injured were admitted to the area hospital in Guduru and later they were shifted to the GGH in Nellore for better treatment. All the injured belong to Ongole city, police said.
