Telangana officials have made all arrangements for the meeting between the two CMs of the Telugu states. The meeting between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to be held on Saturday at 6 pm at the Praja Bhavan here. The Deputy Chief Ministers of both states – Pawan Kalyan (Andhra Pradesh) and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka (Telangana) – may also attend the meeting. The Chief Ministers are meeting for the first time to discuss pending bifurcation issues and they would mainly discuss the division of firms mentioned in Schedule 9 and 10. Chandrababu and Revanth could discuss the arrears of power companies of the two states. Telangana has been stating that Andhra Pradesh has to pay Rs 17,828 crore, however, Andhra Pradesh argues that Telangana has to pay Rs 6,742 crore to Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is concentrating on pending issues of the Division Act after assuming office. The New Delhi AP Bhavan issue was resolved in March due to the initiative of Revanth. The problem of distribution of funds of the Mining Corporation has also been solved recently.It may be recalled that 30 meetings were held between officials of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana till now.

It may also be recalled that the Union Home Ministry appointed the Sheela Bedi Committee regarding the assets and liabilities of 91 firms and for the distribution of cash balances mentioned in Schedule 9. There are no objections about 68 firms, however, there is no consensus between the two states about the distribution of 23 firms. There were differences between the two states about 30 entities like the Telugu Academy, the Telugu University and the Ambedkar University out of the 142 ones mentioned in Schedule 10
