AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal said that YSRTP President YS Sharmila and former AICC presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi had a meeting on August 31 and discussed the merger of the YSRTP with the Congress.
The discussions were held in a friendly atmosphere. However, Sharmila has to wait and see what the outcome is, he said.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Venugopal said that he doesn’t know whether Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is in touch with the Congress or not.
