Sharmila’s poser: Why was Tribal University not established?

Must read

APCC President YS Sharmila questioned the Jagan Mohan Reddy headed government why it failed to establish Tribal University and why it gave permission for Bauxite mining in the agency area.
Addressing an election meeting here on Saturday, she recalled that when YS Rajasekhar Reddy was the Chief Minister in the undivided AP state, he did not give permission for Bauxite mining, honoring the demand of tribal people.
But the Jagan Mohan Reddy headed government has given permission for bauxite mining in the agency area, she alleged. Establishment of Tribal University was assured under the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 but the University has not been established so far and questioned who is responsible for the failure.
She also pointed out that seven hydro power projects were awarded to Adani and other such companies and described it as unjust. Sharmila recalled that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy assured of establishing a medical college and engineering college in the region but failed to do so. The SCS is a lifeline to the state but Jagan Reddy failed to exert pressure on the Centre for the same, she lashed out.
“Andhra Pradesh has achieved substantial progress only in cultivation and export of ganja,” she ridiculed, deploring that Jagan Reddy has put AP at top borrowing lakhs of crores of debts.  YS Sharmila assured of bringing the YSR regime to every household and implementation of agriculture loan waiver up to Rs 2 lakh, if voted to power.
She also promised to enhance pensions to Rs 4,000, disabled pensions to Rs 6000 and construct a house for the eligible poor at a cost of Rs 5 lakh, the Congress is voted to power.
Addressing another election meeting in Araku, she said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy assured of developing Araku at a cost of Rs 600 crore but he did not extend even Rs 6 lakh for the development. “If the Araku valley had been developed as a tourist center it would have generated huge employment for the locals. Tourism Minister RK Roja did not visit the area even at once,” the APCC President slammed. Mining mafia is rampant in Araku region while Adani and Ambani are plundering the natural resources in the state, she lashed out.
