The SHE Teams of Hyderabad City Police have busted five cases by promptly responding to complaints and delivering justice to the victims. In a series of recent cases, the SHE Teams have taken swift action, resulting in the arrest and sentencing of individuals involved in various forms of harassment and abuse.

In the first case, a respondent identified as V Ramchandra, a watchman residing in Srinagar Colony, was reported by a victim for threatening her with abusive language and attempting to force her out of her flat. The victim reached out to the SHE Team through Gmail, detailing the frequent harassment and threats she endured. Following an investigation, the respondent was produced before the X Special Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) of Hyderabad, who sentenced him to eight days in Chanchalguda Jail.

In another incident, a petitioner came forward on Whatsapp, accusing M Anjaneyulu, also known as Raju, of luring her into a relationship while concealing his marital status. The victim stated that she had been involved with the respondent for five years, only to discover that he was already married with three children. Acting swiftly, the SHE Team produced the respondent before the  XI Special MM, who sentenced him to five days in jail.

A third case involved a petitioner who was being harassed and threatened by V Rajkiran, a former tenant, over the phone. The respondent held a grudge against the petitioner since being asked to vacate the premises in 2022, subsequently resorting to harassment and spreading false rumours about her character. The SHE Team apprehended the respondent and presented him before the XI Special MM, resulting in a five-day jail sentence.

Additionally, the SHE Teams tackled a case where a respondent named Mohd Shaibazouddin drove his car recklessly and verbally abused the wife of a petitioner who was riding a two-wheeler. Recognising the severity of the incident, the SHE Team acted swiftly, leading to the respondent’s arrest. He was subsequently sentenced to eight days in jail.

Finally, a petitioner directly approached the SHE Teams, reporting that she had been receiving late-night calls from unknown numbers, accompanied by explicit videos and abusive language. Despite blocking these numbers, the respondent, identified as K Murali, continued his offensive behavior by using different phone numbers. Following his apprehension, the SHE Teams ensured justice was served by presenting the respondent before the X Special MM, who sentenced him to eight days in jail.
