‘Should stand as a role model for the nation’

The Minister for Education, RTGS, Electronics and IT, Nara Lokesh, has directed that the 100-bed hospital, which is being constructed by the government at Chinakakani near Mangalagiri, should be designed to be the best in India. The Minister held a review meeting with officials at his residence in Undavalli on Wednesday to discuss the building plans of the hospital. The officials presented the building design through a PowerPoint presentation.
During this meeting, the Minister made several suggestions to the officials. He stated that the 100-bed hospital has been a dream of the Mangalagiri residents for the past 30 years. “The hospital should be equipped with modern facilities and stand as a role model for the country in the 100-bed category. It should provide an environment where doctors can work peacefully,” he said and further stressed the need for the hospital to provide the best medical care to patients without causing any inconvenience to the public seeking medical services.
Minister Lokesh advised the officials to design zones within the hospital for doctors, patients, and visitors. He suggested reviewing the designs of renowned hospitals and making appropriate modifications accordingly and the construction of the hospital should incorporate all kinds of modern facilities. He also recommended that the design consider future needs for parking, mortuary, and other basic amenities.
G Sudhakar Reddy, Chief Engineer of the Andhra Pradesh Medical Education and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC), SE V Chittibabu, EE CV Ramana, Chief Architect of Bhargav Group, Nikhila, DEE M Hanumantha Rao Naik of APMSIDC, AE G Gopichand, AE K Shiva Satyanarayana, DGM A Shyam Kishore, Senior Engineer D Anil Kumar and others were present.
