It was an anxious moment for half-an-hour as the Metro Rail services stopped at Lakdikapul station at about 11:15 am on Friday. It has affected the services between Panjagutta and MGBS section. They were rectified in about 20 minutes and normal operations were resumed. This was due to a technical snag in the signalling system at Lakdikapul Metro station.
Sources said that services on Miyapur-LB Nagar and LB Nagar-Miyapur routes were suspended for more than half-an-hour. Office-goers and commuters reaching their destinations expressed impatience over the delay and tweeted the problem on Twitter.
However, the Metro Rail staff announced that they would restore the services shortly and cooperate. Due to this, some of the passengers who were in the stations went out.
Earlier, Metro Rail services were suspended for a long time in the morning on November 4. The trains were stopped for a long time due to a fault in the signalling system.
Passengers complain that they are getting inconvenienced as trains stop unexpectedly during rush hours. Commuters are expressing their displeasure over the disruption of Metro train services on the social media.
