“Some days raw, some days glam,” says Rashmika on beauty and balance

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, widely adored as the “National Crush,” recently opened up about her beauty philosophy, love for fragrances, and her growing passion for clean skin and minimalism. While she is often seen glowing with understated elegance, Rashmika revealed she enjoys experimenting with both natural and bold looks — depending on her mood.
Talking about her go-to beauty routine, Rashmika shared that most days she prefers letting her skin breathe. “Just a bit of tint on the lips and cheeks, and just letting my skin breathe,” she said, adding that clean skin or no makeup makes her feel her best on regular days. She emphasized that makeup, to her, is like fragrance — not just about looks but also a deeply personal form of self-expression.
Adding another dimension to that expression, Rashmika recently launched her own perfume label titled Dear Diary. Through this venture, she channels her love for scents that reflect different moods and moments. “Some days, you want to feel raw and natural. Other days, you want to feel powerful and elevated. I think it’s beautiful to embrace both sides,” she said.

Sharing her affinity for warm, slightly floral notes, Rashmika revealed that her signature scent from the range is Irreplaceable. “Each of the Dear Diary fragrances feels like a different side of me, but Irreplaceable is closest to who I am today. It’s a scent that reminds me to be my most authentic self, to show up fully and honestly, even on the tough days,” she added.
On the professional front, Rashmika continues to challenge herself with bold, women-centric narratives. Her upcoming film The Girlfriend is gearing up for release and has already created buzz for being a strong female-led story. Adding to her exciting slate, she recently signed another woman-centric film titled Mysaa, which was officially launched a few days ago.
Rashmika also has a promising Bollywood project titled Thama with Ayushmann Khurrana in the pipeline. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar of Munjya fame, the film explores an intriguing love story with a supernatural twist, where a passionate historian uncovers local vampire myths and long-buried secrets.
