Sound Party: A non-stop entertainer with no melodrama

Must read

The most-awaited film Sound Party, starring Sivannarayana and VJ Sunny in the lead roles, has finally hit theaters. Mahendra Gajendra, Sri Shyam Gajendra, and Ravi Polishetty of Full Moon Media Productions are producing the comedic entertainer.
Plot:
Dollar Kumar (played by VJ Sunny) is an unemployed, avaricious, and sluggish young man who yearns to become wealthy. Kuber Kumar (Sivannarayana), his father, possesses many of the same negative traits as his son. An MLA named Pradhviraj tricks the father-son team into confessing to a crime they did not commit. They end up in jail because of this. The rest of the novel focuses on how the two innocent people plan to get out of jail and whether or not they end up wealthy.

Performances:
While in his OTT debut, VJ Sunny was seen playing a dead serious person in the recently released comedy entertainer “Unstoppable,” he was a full-of-joy guy. Now, with “Sound Party,” he performs with apparent ease while having a great time partying. His most solid performance to date is this one. Acting-wise, the Bigg Boss star has done a great job.
Talking about Sivannarayana, his character will make you laugh till your stomach aches. Now, he tries to mislead his son, just because his father brought him up in the wrong way. You get to see a naive father-son duo.
Then comes the talented Hrithika Srinivas, who plays a really adoring character and will win your hearts in the songs she appears in. Basically, her character is not as imbecile as she looks.
All of the other actors, be it Ali as a scientist, Saptagiri as a Jailer, Chalaki Chanti as a prisoner, Vasu Inturi as a Bitcoin trader, and Krishna Teja as a dumb suitor, among the rest, have also done a fairly good job.

Technical aspects:
Mohit Rahmaniac’s music is just pleasing to the ears. The tunes and the background score are all so effective.
Cinematographer Srinivas Reddy, G Avinash with editing and production design by Rajeev Nair, and co-writers Patel Nandurka and Sundar Palutla have all done an amazing job.

Analysis:
Throughout the film, crazy humor turns eccentric and commercial. Nobody in the male lead’s family wants to put in any sort of effort. The odd characterization was truly intriguing to watch.
The film makes no attempt to go overboard with any one idea. There are many plus points, which you will get to see in the screens.

Verdict:
All-in-all, the film is a non-stop entertainer with no melodrama.

Rating: 2.75
