SP praises AR forces’ role in maintaining law & order

Superintendent of Police Tushar Dudi has commended the Armed Reserve (AR) police personnel for their crucial role in maintaining law and order. He assured them of plans to establish a shopping complex to provide essential goods at subsidized prices for police personnel.
A demobilization programme was held on Sunday at the police parade grounds, where the SP participated as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the SP stated that the district has a full complement of armed forces and that an annual mobilization programme is conducted to enhance the skills of AR personnel. This year’s mobilization took place from January 20 to February 2, with eight platoons consisting of 40 personnel each.
He highlighted various welfare measures being undertaken for AR personnel, including a mega medical camp organized in October, where free medical check-ups were conducted for about 400 police personnel and their family members. He also announced the establishment of a police welfare canteen and a shopping complex to provide essential commodities at subsidized prices. From general security duties to handling law and order situations, AR personnel play a key role, he noted. He urged them to focus on physical fitness and professional skill development while maintaining discipline in both professional and personal life.
As part of the mobilization programme, medical examinations were conducted for around 300 AR staff. The SP also announced that the last Friday of every month would be observed as ‘Grievance Day’ to address and resolve staff issues.
The SP emphasized that AR police personnel received specialized training during the mobilization programme, including indoor and outdoor classes, service rules, handling advanced weaponry, drills, march fast, mob control, VIP escorts, PSO, BD team operations, prisoner escort, bandobast, and motor vehicle duties to enhance their professional skills.
