Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu and his family visited the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri on Sunday. Ayyanna Patrudu assumed office on Saturday.
Durga Temple Executive Officer (EO) KS Rama Rao received Ayyanna as per the tradition of the temple. They offered special pujas to Durga Devi.
Vedic scholars gave blessings to Ayyanna Patrudu at the Veda Ashirvachana Mandapam on the premises of the temple. EO Rao presented him with Sesha Vastram, Laddu Prasadam and Durga Devi’s portrait.
Meanwhile, a large number of devotees thronged the temple.
Following the huge rush, he regulated the queue lines.
The rush continued from 8 am to 2 pm. For the welfare of society and people, the priests performed Suryopasana Seva at the temple.
