BRS MLA Harish Rao said that the Governor’s speech looked pale even though it is considered a vision document.
“The people who were waiting for the implementation of the promises were left disappointed. The elderly, the disabled and dependent pensioners and women were disappointed. The lack of talk about crop bonuses has left farmers disappointed. People were not given any hope through the Governor’s speech,” he said.
Harish said that the Governor did not say anything about the development of villages and towns. “There is no mention about the promises made in the Congress manifesto and no mention of unemployment benefits,” he said.
Declaring that Prajavani is bogus, he said that people thought the CM would accept public requests every day but there were no ministers and IAS officials to accept them. Finally, outsourced employees took the applications, he said.
“They made Governor speak only half the truth about Prajavani. There are a total of 13 promises in the six guarantees. It is said that both have been implemented. The Rs 10 lakh increase in Arogya Shri is flawed. That is why the Governor did not mention it in her speech,” Harish said.
He said that Revanth said he would take oath on December 9 and waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh. While the oath was taken two days in advance the promises were postponed.
“Why are promises not being kept? 60 days of the 100 days have been completed. There are only 40 days remaining. If there was sincerity, the Governor’s speech would have mentioned about implementing the promises,” Harish said.
“Gas cylinders for Rs 500 and 200 units of electricity will be given. These two are only mentioned. The rest of the promises cannot be implemented. The Congress has realised that it could not be implemented in 100 days. In the two months after the Congress took over they did injustice to farmers,” he said.
He said that Rs 15,000 will be given as Rythu Bandhu and farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh waived. 24-hour free electricity was promised for farming but farmers were cheated.
“Farmers are facing power cuts. We are waiting for them to say that they will give bonus even for the Yasangi crop, but we were disappointed. A white paper should be released on the investment of Rs 40,000 crore,” Harish said.
