As Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu intensifies efforts to attract investments to Andhra Pradesh, the TDP-led NDA Government has announced the formation of a Special Task Force to advise on industrial development and the realisation of Swarna Andhra Pradesh.
TATA Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran held extensive discussions with Chief Minister Naidu at the State Secretariat on Friday, focusing primarily on investment opportunities in the State. The talks also centred on industrial development and the broader goal of building Swarna Andhra Pradesh under the Vision-2047 initiative.
Following the successful discussions, the State Government has established a Special Task Force to provide strategic recommendations on advancing these initiatives. The Chief Minister will chaired the Task Force, with Chandrasekaran serving as the Co-Chairman. It will also include prominent industrialists and experts from relevant sectors.
To position Andhra Pradesh as the leading state in India by 2027, aligned with Vision-2047, the Task Force will focus on the critical steps required to achieve this target. Additionally, the State Government plans to establish the Centre for Global Leadership in Amaravati, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with TATA playing a key role as a partner.
Furthermore, a TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) Development Centre is set to be established in Visakhapatnam. The Chief Minister and the TATA Group Chairman also discussed the potential expansion of Air India and Vistara Airlines within the state. Other topics of discussion included the establishment of solar energy projects, telecommunications, and food processing units in Andhra Pradesh
