Sree Vishnu is now coming up with a love story titled Single and it promises loads of entertainment. Directed by Caarthik Raju, the film is set to hit the screens on May 9. On this occasion, the actor spoke about the film and his future plans.

Director Caarthik Raju is a Tamilian, so how could he write a story that suits the Telugu audience? “Though he is a Tamilian, we made this film to suit the Telugu audience. We shot the film in Hyderabad and you can see a new city in my film,” said Sree Vishnu.

“I am doing a love story. Even Vennela Kishore has a love story in this one, so he decided to reduce some weight and look younger. After seeing him, I too decided to look neat and also reduced weight. Our main intention is to make people laugh, so we focused on comedy. At the same time, a love story is also there in the film,” said Sree Vishnu.

The title of the film is Single and there are two female leads. When asked about it, he said, “I can say that the audience will definitely like the characters. Most of the dialogues and scenes are related to what regularly happens in our surroundings. So, when you are watching the film, you’ll feel that it happened near you.”

The actor said that most of the jokes were taken from real life. “How some of the youngsters share a room and crack jokes, how students comment jokingly at colleges — all that is inserted into the film,” said Sree Vishnu.

In the trailer, the satirical dialogues about the Manchu family have gone viral compared to the other jokes in the film. “Everything is good for us,” he said. He added that, till now, many of his films have been different from each other and he is giving his best. “In the coming days, there will be a big change and a big revolution is coming. Because the next generation of kids is coming, so I am also prepared to look out for some new characters in the coming days,” said Sree Vishnu.

Talking about his earlier film Swag, which didn’t do well at the box office, Vishnu said it disappointed a few people. “Swag came after the comic one Samajavaragamana, so people expected something entertaining, and they were disappointed. I got a good name, and if it also collected some money, I would have been very happy,” said Sree Vishnu. He added that some people liked it because the film offered something new to them.

He gave clarification about the controversy surrounding the Manchu dialogues and said he doesn’t want to be part of any controversy. “Generally, I maintain distance from controversies, but after this incident, I will tell my friends that it’s better not to get into such incidents in the coming days,” said Sree Vishnu.

Talking about his upcoming projects, he said he is doing Mruthyunjaya. “It’s a complete thriller,” he said. Another film titled Vishnu Vilasam has also started and it’s a complete family entertainer. “I am also doing a film with a forest backdrop,” said Sree Vishnu.
