‘Home Minister reviews arrangements

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit Visakhapatnam on June 21 to take part in the International Yoga Day celebrations to be held along the city’s scenic beach road. In anticipation of the Prime Minister’s visit, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha undertook a comprehensive review of the preparations on Wednesday.
Accompanied by District Collector MN Harendhira Prasad, City Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi, Joint Collector Mayur Ashok, and other senior officials, she conducted an on-ground inspection of the proposed venue and its surroundings.
The Home Minister examined the security arrangements, public access points, and other logistical aspects critical to the smooth conduct of the event. She stressed the importance of meticulous coordination among departments to manage the anticipated large gathering of both dignitaries and the general public.
Speaking to the media after the inspection, Anitha underscored the significance of the Prime Minister’s participation in the event. “This is a matter of great honour for the State, and we must ensure flawless execution of all arrangements,” she said. She directed officials to remain vigilant and ensure that the event proceeds without any disruptions or inconvenience to the public.
Anitha further called for seamless coordination between all departments, emphasising the need for proactive planning and strict adherence to security protocols. “The success of this event will reflect the efficiency of our administration,” she remarked.
