TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Sunday said that the State turned into a centre for criminal activities and it has now become criminal Andhra Pradesh. In an open letter Naidu said that he is totally disturbed on learning about the incident in which an innocent boy is set on fire in Bapatla district. Atrocities against women, attacks on weaker sections, Backward Classes and downtrodden sections are on the rise in the recent past, he said.

He said contractors are resorting to suicides as their bills are not being paid while ganja and gun culture is limitless, Naidu said and observing that there is no security for women in the State. Expressing serious concern at the ruling party leaders behaving like street rowdies, Chandrababu stated that the behaviour from corporator to the Chief Minister is really shameful and disgusting. The kidnap incident of the family members of an MP in Visakhapatnam reflects the poor law and order situation in the State.

Naidu asked as to why the Chief Minister has not responded till now on these incidents. As a gang rape took place close to the Chief Minister’s house and a girl was murdered in the vicinity of the Chief Minister’s residence speak volumes about the falling law and order situation in the State. Making an appeal to the people to ponder over these atrocities happening in the State, Naidu is of the opinion that it is the failure of the Chief Minister who is the incharge of the Law and Order.
