MLC Lella Appireddy laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Adarshanagar main road (Narasaraopet-Chilakaluripet road) here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Lella Appireddy said that developing the State was as important as implementing welfare schemes. The YSRCP-led government is giving importance to the development of the state, and at the same time, implementing various welfare schemes. The government has taken steps for the development of all the areas equally, he added, and appealed to the people to take part in the development works.
“We have aimed to develop Guntur city as a model city in the state. Development works are being carried out in the city in a phased manner. Development works are being carried out in all the divisions in the city. As part of the development of the area, construction work of Adarshanagar main road was taken up,” he asserted.
Appireddy recalled that despite financial constraints due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all the development activities are being carried out and the welfare schemes are being implemented as per the assurance given by the Chief Minister.
MLA Maddali Giridhar alleged that the TDP leaders are spreading lies against the YSRCP government, unable to digest the reputation achieved by the government by implementing welfare schemes efficiently. The erstwhile TDP government neglected the development of Guntur city, he flayed.
MLC Chandragiri Yesuratnam said that development works are being taken up as per the requirements of people at various places in the city. Kotturi Sudhakar, Aniji Reddy, DE Ramesh AE Nagaveni, and Sanka Satyanarayana were among those who were present.
