Deputy Chief Minister and Panchayat Raj Minister Pawan Kalyan has stressed the need for strengthening all systems and ensuring coordinated efforts to position Andhra Pradesh as a leader in achieving the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
At a programme held on Friday to unveil the Swarnandhra@2047 Vision Document, Pawan Kalyan urged IAS and IPS officers to perform their duties diligently without succumbing to undue pressures. “There is no need to fear anyone. Discharge your responsibilities sincerely and in the interest of the public. The Government will support you if your actions benefit the people,” he assured.
Recalling the scepticism faced by former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu when he introduced Vision 2020 in 1994, Pawan Kalyan noted that the development of Hyderabad subsequently proved its value, benefiting many. “Similarly, the Swarnandhra@2047 Vision Document aims to transform the State by 2047,” he stated.
Expressing concern over inadequate facilities in tribal areas, Pawan Kalyan highlighted that 2,854 villages still lack proper roads and medical services. “It requires Rs 3,000 crore to build roads and provide healthcare in these villages,” he pointed out.
Criticising the previous YSRCP regime, he alleged that Rs 500 crore was wasted on constructing a palace on Rushikonda Hill in Visakhapatnam and Rs 1,200 crore on survey stones.
