Sunitha diverting course of probe into Viveka case: Avinash

Must read

In a twist in the Viveka murder case, Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy has made strong rebuttals against the accusations levelled by Viveka’s daughter, Sunitha. Avinash has presented a series of evidence challenging Sunitha’s claims, accusing her of obfuscating the truth and spreading misinformation to divert the investigation’s course.
Avinash disclosed that Viveka’s household worker, Pannini Rajasekhar, was allegedly pressured by Sowbhagyamma and Narreddy Rajasekhara Reddy to take leave a day before the murder. During the CBI inquiry, Rajasekhar claimed that he was repeatedly urged by Sowbhagyamma and Narreddy Rajasekhara Reddy to urgently go to Kanipakam.

Avinash raised questions about the motives behind this action, particularly given the sidelining of Viveka’s close associates, Sunil Yadav and Uma Shankar Gangireddy, by the same individuals.
Avinash highlighted the inconsistency in Sunitha’s statements, noting her denial of Vivekananda Reddy’s connections with Sunil Yadav and Umashankar Gangireddy, despite evidence suggesting otherwise.
Avinash then directed attention to the initial propagation of the ‘heart attack theory’. He claimed that Sunitha was aware of the injuries on Viveka’s body when informed by Krishna Reddy in the morning but chose to conceal this information. He cited Sunitha’s statement to the SIT, where she acknowledged Krishna Reddy informing them about the injuries but attributed them to a heart attack due to Viveka’s previous health issues. However, Avinash alleged that Sunitha, along with Narreddy Rajasekhar Reddy and Sowbhagyamma, left Hyderabad together and deliberately concealed Viveka’s murder, even displaying photographs of the body to others without informing the police. Avinash asserted there was a conspiracy to suppress the truth and implicate him in the case.

Avinash vehemently dismissed Sunitha’s assertion that Viveka was murdered over an MP ticket. He argued that Viveka had campaigned for him until his last moments and had expressed his desire for his victory. Avinash also pointed out that he had already been granted the MP ticket in 2014 and 2019, rendering the notion of the murder being linked to the ticket baseless. Avinash questioned Sunitha’s newfound camaraderie with Viveka’s rival, BTech Ravi, accusing her and her associates of attempting to coerce false statements from various individuals, including Lakshmi Devamma, Jagadish Reddy, and Lakshmi Devi’s son, to implicate him in the case.

Avinash voiced concerns over the politicisation of the case by Chandrababu Naidu, other TDP leaders, and BJP members. He claimed there was a concerted effort to target him and his father. Avinash reiterated his confidence in the judicial process, asserting that the truth would ultimately prevail.
