Tajangi PHC earns national recognition for healthcare excellence

Tajangi Primary Health Center (PHC) in the Chintapalli mandal has been nationally recognized for its outstanding healthcare services. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare NHM Mission Director, Additional Secretary S Changsan, presented the prestigious quality certification to the PHC on Wednesday.
As part of the National Quality Assessment Program initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a special survey was conducted to evaluate the services offered by public health centers, primary health centers, and hospitals across various states. A team of central government experts conducted inspections of PHCs in Arbor, Rural, and Tribal areas in the state. Tajangi Primary Health Center underwent scrutiny on September 29 and 30, and the expert panel submitted a comprehensive report on the services provided.
Tajangi PHC demonstrated exemplary performance during the assessment, securing an impressive 75.83 percent in the expert panel inspections. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recently issued quality certification based on the favorable report submitted by the expert team. Notably, among the primary health centers in Andhra Pradesh, only two urban PHCs in Guntur district and Tajangi PHC in Alluri Sitaramaraju district have received this distinguished quality certification.
State Medical Health and Family Welfare Principal Secretary MT Krishnababu officially conveyed the quality certification to the dedicated doctors at Tajangi PHC. In recognition of their contributions, the central government has allocated funds for the hospital’s development over the next three years.
District Health Officer Jamal Basha extended congratulations to PHC doctors K Santosh Kumar and G Bhavani for their commendable efforts in achieving this national-level recognition. The accolade not only brings honor to Tajangi PHC but also underscores the commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to the community.
