Talasani to oversee BRS in AP?

Is Talasani Srinivasa Yadav going to be the in-charge of the AP affairs of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS)? Is the BRS eyeing the Yadava votes in AP? The political experts say ‘yes’ to these questions. According to sources, Telangana leader Talasani Srinivasa Yadav is visiting Vijayawada on December 18 and 19 to find a suitable site for the construction of the BRS office. The BRS office would come up on Inner Ring Road near Jakkampudi. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to attend the foundation-laying programme for the new office of BRS, sources added.

BRS sources said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is focussing on the expansion of the BRS and as part of it Talasani Srinivas Yadav would be made in-charge of AP affairs and given the assignment of strengthening the party in AP. Erecting huge flexi banners welcoming KCR in Vijayawada led to a heated debate in political circles and raised speculation. Talasani Srinivasa Yadav visited Vijayawada before the 2019 elections to muster the support of the Yadava community people to the YSRCP to defeat the TDP. Yadava community is the second largest in AP and the BRS has evolved a strategy to get their support. TTD Board former chairman and TDP leader Sudhakar Yadav is Talasani’s close relative. Talasani maintains close relations with Kamma and Kshatriya community people in Hyderabad.

Keeping these advantages in view, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao wants to send Talasani to AP as in-charge to strengthen the BRS. The BRS leadership is of the view that it should open its office in Vijayawada by January.
