KGF actor Yash’s highly anticipated project Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups has added another Bollywood actress to its cast. Reports revealed that Tara Sutaria has been engaged in a crucial role in the action thriller helmed by Geethu Mohandas.
“Tara is overjoyed to have landed a prominent role in such a massive project. She plays one of the two romantic interests of the Kannada superstar, the other being Kiara Advani,” an industry source informed us. The multi-lingual, big-budget film rides on a strong force of women characters and also features Jawan actress Nayanthara and Huma Qureshi in lead roles. Nayanthara will play Yash’s sister, while Huma is expected to take on a negative character.
Toxic, billed as an action-packed spectacle, is set in the 1950s and 1970s, during the rule of the drug mafia. Yash, who became a national star following the historic box-office success of KGF Chapter 2, will purportedly play a slick gangster in this high-stakes action picture. The project will take over 200 days of filming to achieve an unprecedented scale, giving fans an unrivaled visual film experience.
Toxic began shooting in June and is slated to continue throughout the year, with a theatrical release scheduled for April 10, 2025. Yash is presently filming Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum epic, Ramayana and will continue production on Toxic in September. Despite the fact that filming is still underway, the producers have kept the cast a mystery. This film is produced jointly by Yash and Venkat K Narayana under their respective banners, Monster Mind Creations and KVN Productions.
