TDCA meets USA Cricket Board chief on fostering rural talent

In a significant development for cricket in Telangana, the Telangana Districts Cricket Association (TDCA) founder and former SAT chairman Allipuram Venkateshwar Reddy met with USA Cricket Board chairman PSK. Venu Reddy in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Venkateshwar Reddy highlighted the pride of seeing Telugu cricketers, particularly those with roots in Palamuru district, representing the USA national team. “There is immense talent in Telangana’s rural areas, but many promising players lack the opportunities to showcase their skills at national and international levels,” he said. Reddy urged the USA Cricket Board to step forward and support initiatives that encourage rural cricketers, providing them with platforms to excel.
Venu Reddy appreciated TDCA’s efforts in promoting rural cricket and emphasised the importance of equal opportunities and transparency in achieving success.
“We are exploring ways to extend necessary support to TDCA to foster rural talent,” he stated.
Nagar Kurnool district TDCA convenor A Surender Reddy was also present at the meeting, further discussing collaborative measures to enhance cricket development in Telangana’s districts.
