After TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu got arrested in the Skill Development scam case, his party’s general secretary, Nara Lokesh, moved to New Delhi to get support from national political leaders. Unfortunately, he didn’t succeed. Some experts think Lokesh is in Delhi to avoid getting arrested in other scam investigations.
On Saturday, CID officials sent Lokesh a notice regarding the Amaravati Inner Ring Road alignment scam.They asked him to appear at the CID office on October 4, and what happens next depends on the CID.
Investigative agencies keep filing cases for various scams that occurred during TDP’s rule from 2014 to 2019. These include the Skill Development scam, Amaravati Inner Ring Road Scam, Amaravati Assigned lands scam, Fibernet scam, and more.
The TDP, which has been around for over 40 years, is in deep trouble because they don’t have a leader if Lokesh gets arrested in any of these scams. That’s what political analysts are saying.
The Yuvagalam Padayatra, which was led by TDP chief Naidu, has stopped since he got arrested and jailed in Rajahmundry. Initially, TDP supporters were enthusiastic about Lokesh, but now they’re worried because both father and son are trying to get bail for multiple cases in various courts.
During the padayatra, Lokesh encouraged young TDP supporters to take on many cases, promising rewards when TDP wins elections.But now, with Lokesh and Naidu struggling to get bail, the party’s supporters are in a tough spot.
Some TDP leaders aren’t happy that JSP chief Pawan Kalyan announcing an alliance with TDP right after Naidu’s arrest.Since Naidu’s arrest in the skill development scam, the opposition Telugu Desam has been facing a leadership crisis. It’s been more than 20 days, and Naidu is still in Rajahmundry Central Jail. Even top Supreme Court lawyers couldn’t help, and Lokesh’s efforts in Delhi didn’t work either.
Malladi Vishnu, the AP State Planning Board vice Chairman and MLA, criticised the TDP-Jana Sena alliance, saying that no single party in the State can stand up to CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alone.He called the alliance between Telugu Desam and Jana Sena immoral, claiming that Pawan Kalyan is trying to save Chandrababu Naidu through the alliance, but it won’t work.
Vishnu also mentioned that people know about the secret understanding between TDP and JSP, and they won’t trust Pawan as he’s seen as Naidu’s shadow. He said that Naidu was arrested on corruption charges, not while fighting for the cause of the nation.
