TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, JSP president Pawan Kalyan, and BJP AP incharge Siddharthnath Singh have jointly unveiled the alliance manifesto for the upcoming 2024 elections. The manifesto, a collaborative effort, aims to address the pressing issues of the State and fulfil the aspirations of its citizens by amalgamating TDP’s ‘Super Six’ initiatives with JSP’s ‘Shanmukha Vyuham’ vision.
At the manifesto launch, Naidu reiterated the alliance’s commitment to creating 20 lakh jobs within the next five years. He also announced a Rs 3,000 unemployment allowance for youth until they secure employment.
Naidu emphasised the importance of enhancing productivity for economic growth, announcing plans for a statewide ‘Skill Census’ to bolster people’s productivity – a pioneering initiative in the country.
The manifesto promises monthly financial aid of Rs 1,500 to women aged between 19-59 years, totalling Rs 18,000 annually and Rs 90,000 over five years, along with free bus travel for women on RTC buses. Additionally, it outlines plans for nine hours of uninterrupted power supply for agricultural purposes and the free installation of solar pump sets, along with the integration of rooftop solar energy initiatives from the Central government. The alliance manifesto also reaffirms the commitment to Amaravati as the State capital, the completion of the Polavaram project, and the repeal of the Land Titling Act.
It pledges to increase the old age pension to Rs 4,000 from April 2024 and provide a Rs 6,000 pension for differently-abled individuals.
Highlighting the commitment to the BC community, the party chiefs announced a spending of Rs 1.5 lakh crores through the BC sub-plan over five years. They also pledged various measures, including pension increments, reservations in local body and legislative elections, and allocation of funds for self-employment opportunities for BCs.
Speaking on the ‘Skill Census,’ the party chiefs emphasised its groundbreaking nature, aimed at identifying individuals with specific skills and providing them with appropriate training for a brighter future. They reiterated plans for uninterrupted power supply for agriculture and the promotion of solar energy, emphasising the decentralisation of power generation.
The unveiling of the alliance manifesto marks a significant step forward in addressing the State’s challenges and advancing its development agenda.
