Telugu Desam party leaders including former Ministers Nakka Ananda Babu, Kanna Lakshminarayana and Prathipati Pulla Rao visited the diarrhea affected colonies in the city on Wednesday and consoled the bereaved families.
TDP national chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu formed a committee to visit the diarrhea affected colonies and submit a report, TDP sources said. The TDP leaders deplored that so four persons died of diarrhea in the area during the past 20 days. The TDP leaders claimed that hundreds of diarrhea patients are still undergoing treatment in various hospitals. Health Minister Vidadala Rajini visited the diarrhea victims just for eye wash and left them in lurch, Nakka Ananda Babu criticized. During the erstwhile TDP regime, steps were taken on war footing when such things happened but now no steps were taken to provide protected drinking water to the habitants, he lashed out.
