TDP stages dharna for road divider

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists, led by Telugu Yuvatha district president Ravipati Saikrishna, staged a dharna demanding construction of a road divider on the RTO office road and erect central lighting system.

The TDP activists holding placards and flexi banners organised a dharna at Mahalakshmi Bar centre on JKC road here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, TDP leader Saikrishna said that the JKC college road has become accident prone road and several people have lost their lives in various road accidents which took place on the road.

He demanded that a central divider should be constructed on the road from the RTO office to Mourya junction and a central light system should be erected. The works should be completed on war footing to save lives of people, he demanded.

Later, the police whisked the TDP activists away to the Nallapadu police station. TDP Rythu Sangham campaign secretary G Venkateswara Rao, Karnati Saida Rao, ITDP state secretary Panchumarti Seshu, district Telugu Yuvatha vice president Guttikonda Kiran Yadav were among those who participated in the dharna.
