Telugu Desam Party (TDP) State general secretary Gouthu Shirisa has demanded that the YSRCP leaders stop attacks on the TDP activists and warned of responding fiercely to their attacks including humiliating posts on social media.
A large number of TDP activists, led by TDP State general secretary G Shirisha, staged a dharna in Kasibugga at Gandhi statue on Tuesday in protest against the attack on TDP leader Talagana Rajasekhar. The TDP activists garlanded the Gandhi statue and raised slogans protesting against the attacks.
Speaking on the occasion, Shirisha said that they had maintained restraint so far even though the YSRCP activists uploaded humiliating posts against them on social media. Henceforth, the TDP activists would respond fittingly and upload such posts to counter the YSRCP attacks, she warned.
She alleged that the YSRCP activists with the support of minister Sidiri Appala Raju have been attacking her, the TDP leaders, and activists for the last four years in various forms.
“Henceforth we will not restrain ourselves and we carry out counterattacks fiercely. The YSRCP leaders should stop the attacks on the TDP leaders and activists,” she warned. She alleged that the law and order situation is in a poor state as the police are extending patronage to the YSRCP leaders. She predicted that the TDP would come to power in the 2024 elections.
