Commissioner of School Education, S Suresh Kumar, has called upon teachers to instill a sense of patriotism in their students by sharing the invaluable lessons of sacrifice for freedom. This appeal was made during the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, an event organised by the Central Government. Commissioner Suresh Kumar served as the chief guest at the ‘Na Bhoomi- Na Desam’ programme held at KBC Boys’ High School (Patamata), under the auspices of the School Education Department – Samagra Shiksha. The event featured essay writing, quizzes, and various cultural programs to mark the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.’
Commissioner S. Suresh Kumar, alongside Samagra Shiksha State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao, inaugurated a ‘Pylon’ commemorating the freedom fighters from our state. In addition, saplings were planted to symbolize growth and progress on this occasion.
B. Srinivasa Rao, SPD Samagra Shiksha, emphasized the importance of inspiring students through the biographies and stories of great individuals available in every school library. During the event, students proudly chanted ‘Bharat Mataki Jai’ and actively participated in the cultural program.
The family members of freedom fighters Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, Bhavaraju Venkata Chalapati Rao, Panchangam Ramanujamma, and Satyanarayana Acharya were honored for their significant contributions.
The event witnessed the participation of several dignitaries, including Director of School Education P. Parvathi, Director VN Mastanayya, Samagra Shiksha officials ASPD Dr. KV Srinivasulu Reddy, CE K. Srinivasa Rao, Planning JD Vasudeva Rao, School HM Prem Sagar, and others.
