A teenage girl was killed and another person was injured when an auto-rickshaw hit their bike at Goidi village in the Sitampet agency area on Tuesday.
SI Neelakantha Rao told the media that the deceased Paidi Vasanta Kumari (17) was riding the bike as a pillion rider while Kuna Venkatesh was driving the bike.
A speeding auto-rickshaw hit their bike. Vasanata Kumar suffered grievous injury and was taken to the Palakonda area hospital where the doctor declared her brought dead. A pall of gloom descended on the couple Satyanarayana and Umamaheshwari, who are parents of the deceased Vasanta Kumar, as she was only daughter to them.
