Extending greetings to the people of Telangana, TPCC President B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said the TG Congress Government has undertaken development and social welfare programmes no government in any other state in the country has done.
In a statement issued on Tuesday from Srisailam, Mahesh said that this day last year saw the end of dictatorial rule in the state.
He thanked the people, who were fed up with Gadi’s rule, farmhouse rule, corruption and family rule, and gave majority to the Congress to form a government.
The TPCC president congratulated Congress MLAs for winning elections by winning the public’s hearts.
He said that Telangana is rising due to the development and social welfare programmes launched by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Dy. CM Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers.
“We kept our word by giving free bus travel facility for women in TGSRTC buses, increased to Rs 10 lakh the coverage of the Aarogyasri scheme, gave 200 units of electricity free every month and supplied LPG for Rs 500 a cylinder. We allotted Rs 21,000 crore to waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh helping 23 lakh farmers. We also gave a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal for fine variety paddy. We have filled around 54,500 government posts in a year. The government is establishing a Skill University and Sports University and steps have been taken to check the drug trade,” he said.
He said the Musi Project is a wonderful scheme and added that development projects are being launched.
